Way to architecture

The founder of the bureau is Alisa Shmeleva, a graduate of Bauhaus School, Germany, and Dessau Institute of Architecture (MArch), Germany.

For over 10 year the ab2.0 has been working on public landscaping projects (parks, riverfronts, seafronts); tourist infrastructure (aparthotels, hotels, spa resorts, horeca); as well as architectural concepts, including the ones for infill development, reconstruction and redevelopment projects.

The bureau has also a large experience of designing in Moscow and in the South of Russia. The bureau team were the authors of the first contemporary public space in Sochi – the Riviera seafront (the finalist of the Archdaily&Strelka Award 2021 competition).

ab2.0 has also developed a unique line of designer private houses. The bureau has been distinguished by leading architectural magazines for their interior solutions in their architectural projects. The bureau team were invited as mentors for the competition on recreational clusters in the regions of Russia held by the Agency for Strategic Initiatives.

The bureau team are experts in urbanism and public spaces (not only in Moscow but also in the South of Russia), in tourist infrastructure projects, as well as redevelopment, and ‘development with values’.
